I looked at him, "baby what is it?"

I have a feeling trying to protect that family is gana be more trouble than its worth." i said softly and sighed

"And why is that?" I asked him.

"Slavers came around and started raiding the house we got there just in time to save the child and father....but not the mother" i said softly closing my eyes

I was surprised and leaned my head in his shoulder. "I'm sorry. I wish there was more we could do for him. Feeding the baby isn't easy without the mother," I said, or any woman for that matter who's had a child or lost one that was just short of birth or recently born.

I nodded softly. "If possible can u send a nuurse maid out to him. Not one of my kind either" i said spftly

"I can see if he accepts one, most likely he will," I said and called a maid for that purpose.

I sighed softly. "And c if hed be willing to move closer to the human section of the outskirts" i said softly

She nods and goes off to do so. "I'm not so sure he will. He may actually be angry that we didn't offer that before. Though I hope he thinks of the child first and not himself."

I noddrd. "I had hoped that frequent patrols as they have been would have been enough to keep the slavers at bay but aparently the show of force isnt enough" i said softly but seriously

"No, and I fear they may be the least of our worries. If the wrong group gets around him, he can become the figurehead of our next war," I said. Normally I wouldn't talk like this but, I feared what this could mean for our son, and his future, and ours a family.

I sighed and nodded. "Which is y im doing what i can to protect him even if it means sacrificing some liberties." i said softly my tail thrashing around bc of how frustrated i was and alittle puffed up bc of the anger dwelling inside

Aiden sees his tail and watches it and tries reaching for it so he could swat at it. I watched him worriedly. "Do we need to talk alone?"

"Might be for the best atleast till i calm down" i said and forced my tail to calm down

"Let's go to our room so I can put Aiden down," I said and started walking away.

I nodded and walked with u

I got to our bedroom and sat on the bed where I laid Aiden down on his back. I looked at Draco, "what is really bothering you?"

"The fact that hes around there has been a milenias worth of hate and wars since the begining of time against him and his kind im afraid that one of my people will stumble upon him qnd kill him outright just for who he is and his daughter. My people have literally had it hammered into us since the day we were born to hate his people. And i saw from my elite guard the disgusted looks they cast at him and how edgy they were around him i swear of i gave the word wave every single one of them would have drawn their weapons and stabbed without a second thought or hesitation. Yet i decided to stick my neck out for the enemy and im afraid its gana back fire on me....on us and our son.....all because i decided to show mercy to the enemy. Im more scared now than iv ever been wave....yes i love u and am happy with u but i dont know...i dont think id be fit to rule this kingdom.....let alone my own people." i said softly as i paced and finally sat down in a chair with my head resting in my hands "every time iv made a decision since my parents death has brought even more of it. And every time i turn around it feels like more and more chains are been bound to my body and been pulled every which way possible and just waiting for one part or another to fall off and which one i dont know. But its all scares me even our son....i love him to death but i dont know a damned thing about how to raise him.let alone be a proper father bc of my past."

I watched him with worry. "Everyone is afraid of their children in that way, and believe me, I don't think I'm a good queen but I try to be fair to my people and even if I make a move they don't like, they somehow still leave me alone."

I nodded and sighed softly "yea im just...idk" i said not looking at u

"My point is, if we worry about things we can't control or may not happen, then we won't be living. We'll just be going through life constantly paranoid. If we don't take chances, we'll never change. That's how you and I both got here, got our son, and our people are free."

I nodded and sighed "your right. It still has me worried as hell though

"I know, everyone feels this way," I said.

I sighed softly as i look up at you. "I just wish there were simpler solutions
