"My breathing was alittle unstable and so was my heart beat but otherwise I was doing ok the pain was bareable and I felt safe for once in what felt like forever

I watched him worriedly unsure what to do. After sometime I sat in the chair next to his bed and fell asleep.

I woke up 4 hours later and just sat there for awhile trying to process all that happened

I woke up sometime after he did and looked at him. "You OK?" I asked softly hoping not to frighten him.

I get up to sit with him again. "Is there anything I can do for you?" I asked him worriedly.

I nod and go out into the hall where they had cups and a fountain. When I came back I handed it to him. "Are you hungry at all?"

"Yes but don't know if I can handle anything " I said as I sip the water slowly

"Its worth a shot, I can get you some soup," I said.

I nodded and went to the cafeteria to get him one. I had hardly eat but like him I just couldn't keep it down either. I was so worried I would get sick. I brought him the soup back and helped him like he did me months ago.

I slowly ate and was able to keep food down able to finish about 1/4 of the bowl before I laid back quietly. "Thank you and I'm sorry.....

"Whatever it is don't be sorry. I am sure its something I couldn't help anymore than you. I'm just glad you're home and safe again," I said softly as I put his soup on the tray.

I take his hand quietly and look at it. It looked different. Smaller maybe. Not like the hand that helped me when I needed it.

I softlt squeeze your hand in mine as I sogh softly barely able to put much pressure into the gesture bc of how much I lost over the last month I sat up alittle while later and drank slowly from my cup

I watched him quietly but when he looked at me I always looked away.I didn't know what to say to him. I didn't want to tell him I was the only one who cared, I wanted him to feel cared about because he was. There was a lot I wanted to say to him about what happened but I couldn't.

I kissed him back until he pulled away, though it didn't make me feel any better. "Everyone told me to let it go, you were probably dead and probably dead isn't worth going after. But it wasn't enough for me, I needed to know so I ignored everything everyone said. Including your father. I ignored all the missions he tried to send me on just to get me to drop it. Now he says my actions have caused the council to grow angry and they're deciding how to punish me. I haven't heard anything from him since I found you," I said. I was afraid they'd choose to kick me out and I lose him again.

I will deal with my father when the time comes that I promise you and if they banish you I follow then he will have no heir to the pack and anyone can challenge him for the right to rule I will do what I must to protect you. And I relize now what I want to do" I said seriously
